Stock & Options Tab:
Inputting data for a new stock or options position will highlight it as an open trade. When you close the trade, the sheet will automatically calculate performance stats, and replace the OPEN flag with a 'days in trade' count. The notes section allows you to record pertinent information on why you entered/exited the trade, how you managed it, and more, providing insights into your trading plan and psychology.
Naked Puts Tab:
The Naked Puts Tab is specifically designed for those who trade naked puts (an option strategy that allows you to get paid while you wait to buy stocks you want if prices drop). When you sell a naked put, copy the opening trade data from the Trade Tab, and enter your strike price. The sheet will calculate the reserve capital needed in case shares are assigned to you, your total collected premium, and your monthly return.
Futures Tab:
The Futures Tab is quite similar to the Trades Tab, but has been specifically formatted with futures traders in mind. To enter a new trade, you simply chose the futures symbol from a drop down menu, and enter the required data. Then take notes to help with analysis and system development as the trade progresses. When you close the trade, the sheet will automatically calculate your performance stats.
Charts Tab:
The Charts Tab is fully integrated across the entire journal. It pulls performance stats from all of your trades, analyzes and intuitively color codes it, and presents it in a compact yet powerful way. This helps you refine and improve on your current trading system by clearly identifying what is working, and what isn't. The Charts Tab includes a dynamic profit and loss graph, and summarizes your trading stats for the account as a whole, and broken down by strategy to provide detailed analysis.
Analysis Tab:
The Analysis Tab gives you a 'Big Picture' look at your progress throuhgout the year, by comparing your current results to year end goals. The sheet is equiped with smart formulas to track and analyze your progress as you journal your trades, and provides space to take notes on the monthly, quarterly, and year-end timeframes to keep you focused on what drives your results.
Position Sizing Calculator:
The Position Sizing Calculator allows you to enter your current account value, risk tolerance rules, and planned entry and target prices for trades you are considering. It then auto calculates your max risk per trade, dollar risk per share or contract, and tells you exactly how many shares or contracts you can trade within your risk tollerance rules.
